Maylene was recruited to centre-based Early Childhood Education as a young mother 27 years ago, when her daughter was under a year old.

In 2007, her family moved to Central Hawkes Bay as her husband changed jobs and she was asked to undertake home-based childcare administration.

Married to Pat for 38 years and having recently moved to Havelock North, Maylene enjoys reading, craft work and spending time with family.
