- Duties
- A lovely English/German speaking family in Basel region / Zug TBC are looking for an experienced Live In Housekeeper 75%/Nanny 25% from July 2024 to look after their 3 children (6 to 10) and maintain the upkeep of their home by handling all domestic tasks while the children are at school.
Hours
Full time - Monday to Friday within the time frame 6:30am-7:30pm and flexible free time during the day
The Nanny/Houskeeper is expected to act as a household manager and provide the family a strong reliable and experienced daily support in a positive environment.
- 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role
- Caring, reassuring, able to give children a structured framework
- Happy, smiling, warmhearted, dynamic person
- Integrity and discretion
- Clean and Tidy
- Autonomous, responsible and trustworthy
- Able to be flexible and adapt to the family’s schedule
- Fluent in English and/or German. Speaking French or Spanish is also a plus
Main Requirements
- Taking good care of the 3 children aged 6- 10 on a daily basis in a caring family environment
- Getting the children ready for school, preparing breakfast
- After school, managing the evening routine (snack, bath, dinner, bedtime)
- Having the responsibility to look after the children alone should the parents be away on business trips
- While the children are at school, being responsible for the maintenance of the house
- Carrying out the household tasks in all rooms
- Handling with delicacy the laundry management
- Meals preparation for the family (simple healthy family style using fresh products)
- Managing the grocery shoppings and any errands
- Respecting and adapting to parents’ preferences and needs regarding discipline, routine, living and travel arrangements.
- Accompanying the family on occasional holiday trips
- Establish and maintain good communication with the parents at all time.
The role is live in (private bedroom and bathroom)
Driver - Driver a bonus (car provided)
